Once you've spoken to one of our team members about shipping, the next step is to let us know what kind of vehicle that you'll be transporting. Please make sure to have to year, make, and model ready so that we can give you an accurate rate.

We will also need to know where you're shipping from, as the paperwork requirements are slightly different. If you're leaving from the port in San Juan, you'll need to have the following documentation and information readily available:

• 2 copies of the driver's license of the person dropping off the vehicle
• 2 copies of the vehicle registration
• 2 copies of the original vehicle title or, if the vehicle is still owned by the bank, an ORIGINAL, notarized letter granting permission to ship your vehicle to the United States

If the person dropping off the vehicle at the port is someone other than the owner, you will also need:

• An ORIGINAL notarized letter from the owner granting permission for shipment
• 1 copy of the owner's driver license

If you're transporting your vehicle from the Continental US to Puerto Rico, you'll need to provide the following documents and information to the port:

• Copy of Title Front and Back (or if financed an authorization letter from the bank) -Consignee name and phone in PR
• Estimated value of vehicle

Once you've make your reservations at the port, you will need to make sure that your vehicle is properly prepared for shipping:

• There cannot be any personal goods in the vehicle. Anything that is not installed in vehicle must be removed. Some exceptions include things spare tires, car jacks, etc.
• There must be between 1/8 and ¼ tank of gas in your vehicle

Once you've dropped your vehicle off at the port, transport time is approximately 8 days. The cutoff time for leaving the port is Thursday, so if you'd like to make sure that your vehicle leave the same week in which you drop it off, make sure that you get it to the port by the end of the business day on Thursday.
